Kenilworth Centre - Making a difference!

Kenilworth Centre has been part of the Southern Suburbs for almost 5 decades (48 years).

Over the years, we have prioritized ESG (and CSI) as an integral part of our business operations.

While we continuously strive to provide our customers and community with an enjoyable shopping experience and place of gathering, we are also aware of our responsibility toward the planet with regards to our environmental impact. We therefore work toward making a positive impact through sustainable and best practices.

We are on a mission to reduce our environmental impact and build a greener future; and as a result we have successfully rolled out more than 10 initiatives that can be grouped within the following 4 categories:

• Water conservation
• Waste management
• Urban Farming
• Energy regulation

Our initiatives are regulated through audits, assessments and are held to the highest industry standards.

Through our projects we have successfully achieved a 3-Star Water Certification from the City of Cape Town, a 3-Star rating from the Green Building Council; and installed the only urban rooftop farm on a retail building in the Western Cape.

Additionally, we constantly research new and innovative ways to expand on our ESG campaigns that will contribute positively to the sustainability of our planet and our business.
